Pia Miller gifted $700 bottle of Dom Pérignon to celebrate her engagement to Patrick Whitsell

Pia Miller became engaged to multi-millionaire Patrick Whitsell on Saturday. 

To celebrate, her friends sent her a rather pricey gift – a $700 bottle of Dom Pérignon champagne. 

In an Instagram Stories post shared on Sunday, the actress, 37, showed off the bottle as she enjoyed a glass. 

She thanked a number of friends, including Lara Tocchini, Mags Stewart, Keira Elyse, and Kirrilly Sams, for the luxurious gift. 

‘Omg, such an amazing and thoughtful gift. Thank you!’ she captioned the video clip of the bottle. 

The Dom Pérignon 2002 P2 Second Plénitude gift boxed champagne sells for a retail price of $699.99. 

It comes after Pia announced her engagement to American talent agent boyfriend Patrick, 55, on Saturday, by uploading a photo of the couple clinking wine glasses on Patrick’s Malibu balcony.

With the coronavirus pandemic prompting international border closures, Pia had been living in Sydney while Patrick is based in Los Angeles. 

However, they reunited five days ago in California, according to Pia’s Instagram.

Fans were sent into a frenzy over the size of Pia’s whopping diamond engagement ring.  

Speaking exclusively to Daily Mail Australia, 77 Diamonds managing director Tobias Kormind said Pia’s ring is likely worth more than most people make in a lifetime. 

‘From Pia Miller’s celebratory Instagram post, her ring looks like a 10 carat to 12 carat solitaire oval diamond, set in a platinum band, which would be priced at between US$800,000 (AU$1.10million) to US$1.4million (AU$1.9million),’ Mr Kormind said.
