A man who was killed in a double stabbing that left his partner fighting for her life has today been pictured as a suspect is charged with his murder. 

Mark Hoof, 36, suffered multiple stab wounds and died following the incident at a home in Coventry, Warwickshire at around 11.20am on Thursday.

A woman, 46, was rushed to hospital with wounds to her neck and leg. She today remained in a serious but stable condition.

Ryan Willden, 36, was last night charged with murder and attempted murder following the incident. 

He appeared before Leamington Magistrates Court today. 

Detective Inspector Jim Mahon from West Midlands Police Homicide Unit said a forensic examination will continue at the scene and CCTV enquiries are progressing.

He added: ‘This is really tragic case… our investigations are moving swiftly.
