Police launch urgent appeal to find two missing girls, 14 and 15, who was last seen in a field together in Eastbourne

- Teenage girls were pictured on a field in the area at around 6.15pm yesterday
- Cleveland Police are appealing to the girls, telling them to make contact
Police have directly appealed to two missing teenage girls who was last seen on a field in Eastbourne, telling them to get in touch with their families.
Cleveland Police said Ruby Cuskern, 14, and Megan Hardwick, 15, from Stockton were last sighted at around 6.15pm last night.
They have not returned home or made contact with their families since.
Officers have now taken to Twitter, urging the teenagers to make contact with their loved ones as their families grow worried for their safety.

The force tweeted: ‘A message from officers trying to find missing Ruby and Megan: Girls, please ring Cleveland Police on 101 just to let us know you’re safe and well’

It is thought the two teenage girls could have been travelling about on public transport and could have taken a bus to Middlesbrough.
Ruby has been described as white with fake tan, 5ft tall with long brown hair and wears brown framed glasses. She was last seen wearing a cream body warmer with black leather trousers.
Megan is also white and 5ft4 tall with long, straight, dark brown hair.
The teenager was last seen wearing a dark blue and cream striped jumper, black leather look trousers and knee-high boots.
Police have also asked for parents and carers of youngsters who know Ruby and Megan to ask if they know where they are or if they’ve seen them.
Anyone with information is urged to call Cleveland Police as soon as possible on 101.
