Although looking incredible at 37 weeks pregnant, Ashley revealed in the caption that she’s been struggling with pelvic girdle pain again.

Alongside her stunning images, Ashley penned: ‘Making an effort at 37 weeks with severe hip and pelvic pain looks something like this… ❤️

‘I’ve found the more I feel out of sorts and uncomfortable, the more I’m enjoying taking the time to get ready.

‘You can always count on a red lip to cover sleepless eyes! I’ve always loved nice lingerie to make me feel more body confident too… Even if I am having to wear a pelvic brace.

‘I’d never heard of Pelvic Girdle Pain until I got it… I think I always thought I’d be pretty invincible with pregnancy because I’ve always been pretty fit and ran marathons etc.

‘But it’s definitely been a mad experience. I’ve loved pregnancy but I feel like I’ve forgotten what it’s like to be able to sit up without pain!’

Ashley then offered some tips which she’s found helpful herself, including wearing a brace, sleeping with a pillow between your legs and taking baths.

She ended the post writing: ‘I have to say, my pelvic girdle pain did reduce massively between 32-37 weeks, so if you are suffering it might go away with a little TLC.’

The cause of PGP is unknown, with some doctors blaming it on a hormone imbalance, although this is not proven.

It’s estimated the condition – also called symphysis pubic dysfunction – affects one-in-five pregnant women and, in severe cases, leaves the sufferer unable to walk through pain, with some experiencing lasting effects after the birth.

It comes after Ashley reflected on the ‘negativity’ around motherhood as she counts down the final weeks of the pregnancy.

Penning a lengthy Instagram post, the star admitted she still wants to ‘be a success’ when she gives birth to her first child, as she hit back at the idea that being a mum is ‘like a prison sentence.’

Ashley admitted that she’s starting to become ‘exhausted by the simplest tasks’ as she prepares to give birth.

She began: ‘Good morning! Gosh the last stages of pregnancy are so weird! It’s like you’re playing some kind of weird waiting game.

‘I feel this weird pressure to get loads done before the baby comes, but also my body is like NOT TODAY LOVE, and I get exhausted from the simplest of tasks.’

Confessing she’s already struggling with nerves about the prospect of giving birth and caring for a newborn, she continued: ‘ I’m trying really hard to embrace every last moment of pregnancy and my bump.

‘But at every moment I’m like… MAYBE IT’S HAPPENING NOW. I’m excited but then get these moments of nerves at what’s awaiting me.

‘Like, childbirth… Getting to grips with a baby. Wondering what he’ll be like! Good nerves, but nerves nonetheless.’
