Taking a stand: Bindi Irwin (pictured with her husband, Chandler Powell) has disabled comments on her Instagram account after relentless attacks from trolls during her pregnancy

Bindi has been criticised by cruel trolls over her actions as a pregnant mother-to-be for the past few months.

From a sweet maternity shoot in tribute to her late father Steve Irwin and her recent ‘babymoon’ to Uluru, some Instagram users only had nasty opinions to share.

Bindi turned off all her commenting abilities shortly after the ‘babymoon’ backlash, and on Sunday appeared to hide a cryptic message to trolls in her Valentine’s Day post with partner Chandler Powell, 24.

The writing on the wall behind the loved-up couple read: ‘let’s give them something to taco ’bout.’

In January, Bindi was slammed for recreating a maternity photo originally posed for by her parents 17 years ago.

The pregnant wildlife conservationist shared a photo of her husband Chandler kissing her bare baby belly alongside a comparison photo of herself and her late father, Steve Irwin, doing the same when her mother Terri was pregnant with her brother Robert.

The comment section was quickly flooded with disapproving comment calling the shoot ‘creepy’ and ‘wrong’.

Earlier this month, Bindi and Chandler were slammed again while enjoying a family holiday as a ‘babymoon’ in Uluru.

Critics attacked the young couple, and criticised both Terri, 56, and Robert, 17, for supposedly crashing Bindi and Chandler’s ‘babymoon’.

Others claimed the couple were missing the point of a ‘babymoon’, which is a final holiday enjoyed by expectant parents before the birth of their child.

‘How frigging ridiculous is this, isn’t a babymoon special time for the parents to be,’ commented one person, while another wrote: ‘Not babymoon if all family along.’
