Prison Break’s Dominic Purcell reveals the hilarious nickname his good friend Hugh Jackman gave him

Dominic Purcell struck up a close friendship with fellow actor Hugh Jackman when they studied at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts together. 

And the bond they forged as young actors is still strong to this day, as Dominic, 50, told his fans in an Instagram post on Sunday. 

Sharing a throwback photo in which he’s posed with Hugh, 52, and cricketer David Warner, 33, all three men beaming with their arms around each other. 

The Prison Break actor revealed the nickname Hugh had given him in the caption, writing: ‘Hughy @thehughjackman one of my dearest friends on earth. 

‘He loved calling me #bignut (head size) I’d always reply ‘least every one can see my f**in head’. We both trained together at #dramaschool. He hasn’t changed one bit. 

‘Him always smiling and basically being a beautiful human. I haven’t changed. I’m still angry and grumpy’.

Then he added comically:  ‘Who’s the fool in the middle oh yeah I remember now I believe it’s @davidwarner31 one of #australias great cricketing batsmen and possibly the smallest to ever play the game.’

In April, Dominic shared a shirtless throwback photo of himself and made a joke about his belly to a pal.

In the image, the Australian actor is seen sticking out his tummy and holding a beer.

‘People keep saying I’m getting old? No s**t!? And fat!’ Dominic captioned the post. 

He tagged a friend and joked that they would have to fight over whose ‘baby’ is bigger. 

‘My baby is way bigger we can throw [punches] down outside the pregnancy ward.’

The Aussie TV star made headlines in recent months over his rumoured split with The Upside designer and James Packer’s ex, Jodhi Meares, 49. 

They are believed to have split in January.
