Real Housewives of Potomac stars hurl barbed comments in tense teaser clip from reunion special

The three-part Real Housewives of Potomac reunion is just around the corner and it is shaping up to be explosive.

Gizelle Bryant, Karen Huger, Ashley Darby, Robyn Dixon, Monique Samuels, Candiace Dillard Bassett and Dr. Wendy Osefo are getting together with host Andy Cohen to verbally duke it out and get some closure after season five. 

Tensions run high in a teaser clip from the upcoming event obtained by People that sees one Housewife ready for battle with a literal binder full of ‘receipts’. 

‘We have broken each other this year,’ begins one of the women in a voice over. 

Off camera another Housewife is heard saying: ‘Talk to God, do whatever you have to do to get this right.’ ‘This is a new beginning if we are willing to pull together,’ Karen responds.

The ladies, who are all dressed in various shades of yellow, are seated on set in a large socially distanced semi-circle.

Despite her call to action for the women to ‘pull together’ Karen is quickly seen throwing insulting jabs at 50-year-old Gizelle. 

‘I am obsessed with your clothing. Your taste sucks, but it’s been very therapeutic in quarantine,’ she quips.

‘Congratulations to Karen, her Geritol just kicked in,’ Gizelle snapped back in a crack about Karen’s age. 

In a slightly different move than some of the other Housewives reunions, for the three-part Potomac special, the husbands join the cast on set which just ups the ante for drama.

Andy asked the cast in the clip: ‘Did anyone bring any receipts?’ 

His query prompted Monique to pull out a stack of ‘receipts’ that she brought as evidence. 

‘Oh my God, Monique has a binder,’ a wide-eyed Andy gapes when he sees the book.

Monique is ready with her reference binder when the group begin discussing Michael Darby’s affairs. 

Ashley Darby – who is currently pregnant with their second child – is seen rolling her eyes while her co-stars get graphic about her husband’s infidelity. 

Samuels later butts heads with Candiace over their brutal fight earlier this season.  

Her husband Chris Samuels is seen on stage trying to intervene: ‘If we don’t get to owning up to this it’s gonna be some real mess up on the stage.’

‘Candaice provokes fights,’ Ashley says. 

Monique, 37, and Candiace, 33, famously had an on-camera fight which resulted in them accusing each other of second-degree assault and filing legal complaints against each other, the two had been kept apart in social situations. 

Andy asked Monique about the brawl: ‘What was your emotional reaction after you saw the footage?’ 

Doubling down she responded: ‘I said “Okay well if I’m fired I’m gonna go finish her off.”‘

At the end of the clip, Candiace up and leaves, walking off set. ‘I need a break,’ she is heard saying.

‘Hurt people hurt people. Go get some help,’ Chris says at the end of the preview.

The Real Housewives of Potomac season five reunion will air part one on  Sunday, December 13, at 9:15PM ET/PT.
