Rebel Wilson says some people ‘didn’t look twice’ at her when she was bigger – and reveals she’s treated differently now since dropping 30 kilograms

Rebel Wilson lost an impressive 30kg (66lbs or 4.7 stone) last year.

And on Thursday, the Australian actress and comedian, 40, spoke about being treated differently since her dramatic weight loss.

She said on The Morning Crew with Hughesy, Ed and Erin that it was ‘interesting’ to see people’s attitudes change following her transformation.

‘I think what’s been really interesting is how other people treat you. Sometimes being bigger, people didn’t necessarily look twice at you,’ Rebel explained.

‘Now that I’m in good shape, people offer to carry my groceries to the car and hold doors open for you,’ she added.

‘I’m like, is this what other people experienced all the time?’

The Pitch Perfect star said it was fascinating to see people’s reaction to her weight loss last year.

‘I also find it interesting that people pay so much attention to a weight loss transformation, when there’s so much going on in the world,’ she said.

Rebel made 2020 her ‘year of health’ and worked hard to overhaul her diet and fitness habits.

She shared a body-positive message with fans over the weekend, encouraging them not to judge themselves based on their weight.

The Hustlers actress posted a bathroom selfie to Instagram, in which she was wearing a robe and posing alongside a scale.

She wrote in the caption: ‘Rather than step on the scale, look at yourself in the mirror and be like, “Damn girl, you’re smart and talented and accomplished and perfect just the way you are.”‘
