Rihanna showed her support to the Asian-American community as she joined in on the Stop Asian Hate March in New York City on Sunday.

The 33-year-old singer and mogul had a sign in hand as she danced in the streets of the Big Apple to bring awareness toward putting an end to the increased rates of hate crimes against the Asian community in recent months.

Rihanna was joined by her assistant, Tina Truong, who documented the outing on her Instagram.

The Diamonds hitmaker was definitely passionate about participating about the peaceful demonstration as she made her own sign.

One side of the neon sign read ‘Hate = Racism Against God’ while the other said ‘#StopAsianHate’ and Rihanna proudly held it up as drivers passing by honked in support.

Tina also documented a humorous moment when a fellow marcher asked for Rihanna’s Instagram not knowing that he was actually talking to the  We Found Love hitmaker herself.

The Rude Boy singer punched in her ‘@badgalriri’ on the unnamed man’s phone and he replied in disbelief saying: ‘That’s you!?’

Stop Asian Hate marches have been organized around the country in the wake of a mass shooting which left six Asian woman dead at three Georgia massage parlors last month.

For the past several weeks, Asian Americans have questioned how to deal with a recent wave of assaults – many on the elderly – that coincided with the pandemic.

The virus was first identified in China, and then-President Donald Trump and others have used racial terms to describe it.

Numerous Asian American organizations say former US President Donald Trump’s rhetoric has emboldened people to express anti-Asian or anti-immigrant views.

Nearly 3,800 incidents have been reported to Stop AAPI Hate, a California-based reporting center for Asian American Pacific Islanders, and its partner groups, since March 2020. Nationally, women reported hate crimes 2.3 times more than men.

Rihanna is a very successful businesswoman with the Fenty Beauty and Skin lines in addition to the Savage X Fenty lingerie range.

The Barbadian megastar recently filed legal documents to trademark an array of haircare products under the name of Fenty Hair.

The application also specifically states the new product line will include non-medicated dandruff shampoo, hair restoration lotions and hair glitter, as well as relaxing tools, straighteners, curlers and waxing and hair coloring preparations.

Though she has had plenty of success elsewhere, it has been years since she has released an album as her last – titled Anti – was released in 2016

However, the Umbrella hitmaker recently teased that she may release ‘just one’ track, as her devoted fans continue to request new music from the star.

Her ninth studio album, R9, appears to have been hit with long-running delays and is expected to be heavily influenced by her love of reggae and dancehall.

She told Entertainment Tonight in July: ‘I am always working on music and when I am ready to put it out in the way that I feel fit, it’s gonna come out.

‘You’re not going to be disappointed when it happens. It’s going to be worth it. I’m not just gonna put it out just because people are waiting. It’s taken this long, I’m gonna make it worth it.’

It recently emerged that Rihanna, real name Robyn Fenty, splashed out $13.8 million on a seven-bedroom mansion in Beverly Hills, according to Dirt.

Built in the 1930s the home’s previous owners include Mary Sheldon whose father Sidney Sheldon created I Dream Of Jeannie.

Daniel Starr paid Mary $4.3 million for the property and then remodelled the place in a process documented on the Bravo reality show Million Dollar Listing.

He then sued the construction companies and contractors involved in the renovations, The Blast reported in 2019.

Although he listed the property for $15 million Rihanna’s allegedly off-market purchase cost her more than a million dollars less than that.
