Rooney Mara was spotted taking a solo hike through the hills of Los Angeles on Saturday morning.

The 35-year-old actress checked around her surroundings as she left a parking lot on her way to start up on one of her preferred hiking trails.

The new mom then gave the camera a glance as she kept a set of earphones handy in order to listen to some music during her excursion.

Mara was seen wearing a large black crewneck sweater on top of a loose gray t-shirt to keep herself warm in the cool early morning weather.

She paired her top with a pair of black sweatpants and dusty hiking shoes that had already seen some action.

The Song To Song actress accessorized with a black bandana wrapped around her neck and a stylish set of rose-tinted sunglasses to keep her vision clear in the hazy Los Angeles wilderness.

She kept her typically shoulder-length brunette hair tied back for the length of her walk.

The actress wore a white patterned face mask during her hike to keep herself and her family protected from any potential exposure to COVID-19.

Mara had previously taken an extended break from her acting career in order to focus on raising her new child with her fiancee, Joaquin Phoenix.

The two first began their relationship in 2016; they previously worked together on the 2013 romantic drama Her and subsequently shared the screen in the 2018 pictures Don’t Worry, He Won’t Get Far on Foot and Mary Magdalene.

The couple confirmed their engagement in 2019 and announced the birth of their son, whom they named after Phoenix’s late brother River, in September of last year.

However, before giving birth to her son, Mara completed filming on the upcoming psychological thriller film Nightmare Alley.

The future release is directed by Guillermo Del Toro and is based on the 1946 novel of the same name, written by William Lindsay Gresham.

An ensemble cast worked on the project, and some of the actors included in the cast were Willem Dafoe and Cate Blanchett, along with longtime Del Toro collaborator Ron Perlman.

While shooting on the project initially began in January of last year, filming was shut down due to the onset of the global pandemic; principal photography later resumed in September, and the film’s production was finished by the end of the year.

Nightmare Alley is tentatively slated to be released this coming December.
