Sacha Baron Cohen cracks joke about Kanye West and Kim Kardashian divorce during talk show visit

Sacha Baron Cohen cracked a joke about Kanye West and Kim Kardashian’s divorce on Thursday during an awards season appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

The 49-year-old actor while appearing remotely on the ABC talk show was asked by Jimmy, 53, if it was fun to play his character Borat.

‘Jimmy, I’m not here to talk about fun. It was important to make this film. And I really wanted to expose the hypocrisy …,’ Sacha said.

‘Oh,’ Jimmy responded.

‘Those using power to get ahead, criminality,’ Sacha continued before he was interrupted by a cell phone call.

‘Hello? Hang on. What’s up? Yeah, AstraZeneca, Pfizer …,’ Sacha said to laughter as he turned to open a small refrigerator filled with COVID-19 vaccines.

‘What do you want? Yeah? Okay. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. Venmo is fine, yeah. Okay, great,’ he said.

Sacha continued with their interview until he was interrupted by another caller named Tom.

‘Hanks or Holland? Cruise?,’ Sacha said into the phone.

‘Tom Cruise?,’ Jimmy wondered.

‘You don’t need me, mate, you’re old enough to get it legally,’ Sacha told him.

Jimmy asked Sacha if he was selling vaccines and the actor warned him not to pry.

‘Stay out of this, Kimmel, right? Look after that pretty face of yours. There’s no vaccine for broken legs,’ Sacha told him.

Sacha resumed their interview and was speaking about the challenge of satire when he was interrupted by another call.

‘Hello? Hello? Yeah, Kanye? Yo, yo, yo. I can get you Johnson & Johnson. No, no. Not Dakota and Don. What, you only need one now? I’ve got you down for six,’ Sacha said.

‘Six?,’ Jimmy echoed.

‘Oh, sorry, I hadn’t heard,’ Sacha said into the phone as the audience giggled and clapped at the divorce joke.

‘Sorry, all right. Go ahead. And don’t drive for six hours. If only Tiger had listened to me. OK, ciao,’ Sacha said referencing the recent single-vehicle crash involving golf legend Tiger Woods, 45, in the Los Angeles area.

Kim Kardashian last month filed for divorce from Kanye, 43, and they have four children together, North, seven; Saint, five, Chicago, three and one-year-old Psalm.

Sacha went on with the interview until he was interrupted by his wife Isla Fisher, 45, who said that ‘Ruffalo’ was waiting outside and had cash for various vaccines.

‘Are you selling vaccines to Mark Ruffalo?,’ Jimmy asked.

‘Leave it, Jimmy!,’ Sacha barked at him.

He then turned his attention to his wild-eyed wife.

‘Isla, you look higher than Don Junior. Have you been drinking vaccines? How many have you had?,’ Sacha asked.

Isla declared that she only had two and then admitted she had 15.

Jimmy suggested to Sacha that he should instead focus on his Oscars campaign.

‘This is my Oscar campaign. Jimmy, put it this way. None of the Hollywood Foreign Press are catching COVID anytime soon,’ Sacha joked as he poked fun of the recent Golden Globe Awards.

A man could be heard shouting ‘Open up!’ as Sacha grabbed a bag of cash and Isla armed herself with a rifle before they kissed and split up.

Sacha while driving talked about working with director Aaron Sorkin, 59, on The Trial Of The Chicago 7 as sirens could be heard in the background.

He was then shown in a car chase with the Los Angeles Police Department that ended with a crash and Sacha running on foot.

‘Tell Wesley Snipes he owes me 5-G or he can forget the second dose of Pfizer,’ Sacha said runnning before his camera went out.

Sacha was nominated for a Golden Globe Award and a Screen Actors Guild Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role for his portrayal of Abbie Hoffman in The Trial Of The Chicago 7.

Borat Subsequent Movie Film received three nominations at the 78th Golden Globe Awards and won for Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy and Sacha also won for Best Actor – Motion Picture Musical or Comedy.
