Matt Le Tissier has stuck the boot into his former employer after re-tweeting an alleged leaked email from Sky about meeting BAME targets.
Former Southampton superstar and England ace Le Tissier was sacked by Sky Sports from his position as a pundit on Soccer Saturday last year.
Media outlet Guido Fawkes yesterday tweeted an alleged email from Sky’s Head of Home News which appeared to suggest it would only hire black, Asian and ethnic minority or female staff.
Le Tissier shared the article and posted a question mark with it, in an apparent dig at Sky.

Former Premier League star Le Tissier was axed from Sky last summer, along with Phil Thompson, 67 and Charlie Nicholas, 59.
The Guido Fawkes article read: ‘Leaked email says Sky hiring only BAME or women correspondents.
‘It seems Sky News are worried about their recent lack of on-air diversity figures.’
The email chain, allegedly from Sky’s Head of Home News, says: ‘The next batch of London correspondents appointed are only either BAME, or women, or both.
‘A reminder that our targets are 50/50 on gender and 20 per cent ethnicity.’
Le Tissier’s brother Carl Le Tissier commented: ‘Now why doesn’t that surprise me.’
Before it was announced he was being axed from Sky last August, Le Tissier temporarily quit the social media platform Twitter, saying he had been repeatedly targeted by cyber bullies who were attempting to force him out of his job.
The Southampton legend had been outspoken on social media about various subjects including the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

When sacked by Sky Sports on August 26, Le Tissier issued a short statement online which read: ‘Enjoyed my time at sky sports, time to look forward to life’s next challenge, thank you for the support down the years and special thanks to the backroom team… good luck all have a lovely day.’
His dismissal was followed by strong words from Ian Wright, who criticised the ‘racially driven’ abuse of black and female pundits after Sky Sports’ decision to part way with Le Tissier as well as colleagues Phil Thompson and Charlie Nicholas.
The three former footballers were familiar faces on Soccer Saturday each weekend for viewers, who tune in for live updates on the scores up and down Britain.
