‘Safety first’: Nina Dobrev wears a hazmat suit with a face mask, shield and gloves for her flight amid the COVID-19 pandemic

And on Friday, the former Vampire Diaries star literally suited up for a flight – putting safety first.
The 31-year-old actress donned a hazmat suit for her flight amid the COVID-19 pandemic, and proudly showed off her look to her Instagram page.

Nina wore the suit with a face mask, shield, gloves and tennis shoes – as seen in her snap.
She was posing inside the airport with her dog, Mrs. Maverick near her; the leash was around her waist.
Nina had her luggage behind in her the image, adding the caption: ‘Safety first.’
She shared a second image on the plane with her pup in her arms, although some of her hair was out of the suit.

On Mrs. Maverick’s page, which has almost 500K followers, she shared another image from inside the airport with the cheeky caption: ‘Mom, you’re embarrassing me in front of my friends.’
Nina’s careful measures for flying comes amid California’s non essential travel advisory, where the state recommends residents from withholding from traveling unless absolutely necessary.
The state of California recorded the highest number of daily new cases ever seen in a single state in the US this week, according to ABC 7; the state had 53,711 new cases of the virus on Wednesday, December 16.
In the United States, there have been over 17.3 million cases, with 311,000 deaths.

Nina’s traveling comes just days after she shared an ultra rare snap with her boyfriend Shaun White; the duo have for the most part, kept their romance under wraps.
They first sparked romance rumors in February 2020 when they shared similar snaps from a South African safari; while they did not pose together in any shot, fans noticed they took snaps in similar spots, according to Us Weekly.
The duo were spotted biking around Malibu the following month; in April, they were in a Instagram video she shared to her account as they washed their groceries.
Nina and Shaun went Instagram official in May after she posted a picture of her about to cut his hair.
In August 2020, the duo were seen locking lips during a holiday to Tulum, Mexico.
