SAS Australia: Ant Middleton says female contestants did better than the UK series

Girl power: SAS star Ant Middleton says the female contestants from the Australian show performed far better than those on the UK series

It has been described as one of the most gruelling shows on television.

And on Monday, SAS Australia drill sergeant Ant Middleton revealed that he was particularly impressed by the quality of the female recruits this year.

The former British Special Forces soldier, 39, told Woman’s Day they had fared a lot better than the women from the UK series, which is known as SAS: Who Dares Wins.

In awe: It has been described as one of the most gruelling shows on Australian TV, and on Monday, British Special Forces agent Ant Middleton revealed that he is impressed by the Australian female recruits

‘Out of all the series of SAS, the women in this one really impressed me,’ he said.

‘Molly [Taylor] was the first woman I have seen master the commando rope crawl, Erin [McNaught] was laser-focused and Sabrina [Frederick] was just the full package in my eyes.’

His comments come after sources close to the production confirmed that one female recruit makes it to the ‘final three’ on the Channel Seven show.

As reported by The Sunday Telegraph last month, their ‘truly impressive performance’ stunned not only the directing staff but also their male co-stars.

An insider said the female recruit’s efforts will go down in history.

‘The trainers have described it as one of the best efforts by a woman on a version of the show, ever,’ they claimed.
