Over the summer, Katie shared multiple photos from her doctors appointments when she announced her second pregnancy.

Because of coronavirus restrictions, Adam couldn’t be there in person with her and had to resort to video chat.

In August, she told Ryan Seacrest on Live With Kelly And Ryan that they weren’t looking for more than two children.

‘This is No. 2, and then the shop is closed,’ she said.

She also clarified that they had conceived just before coronavirus lockdowns began in March, as many friends and fans assumed it happened during their isolation.

The acting couple have been married since 2012, and they welcomed their first bundle of joy, Albee, in 2017.

Back in 2018, the voice actress admitted on her podcast Katie’s Crib that she had suffered a miscarriage before her first son was born.

‘The initial feeling, when I found out there was no heartbeat from the doctor in a routine checkup, was like, “Okay, let’s Olivia Pope the situation, let’s fix it,”‘ she said.

‘”Let’s make the schedule, let’s get to the hospital, let’s get the [dilation and curettage. When can I start trying again?”‘

The loss also led to an intense period of sadness after her hormone levels changed following the miscarriage.

‘As soon as it set in that I’d had a miscarriage, what happens is you have a major hormonal drop-off,’ she explained. ‘And I think I was massively sad for about three months, and I was only pregnant for three months.’
