Selma Blair rocks jodhpurs and riding boots on LA coffee run… five months after revealing reunion with horse Mr. Nibbles despite MS symptoms

She has managed to ride again despite her multiple sclerosis.

And Selma Blair was in her equestrian gear when she was glimpsed stepping out for a coffee run in Los Angeles this Thursday.

The 48-year-old, who announced her diagnosis in 2018, could be seen wearing her jodhpurs and her custom pair of Celeris riding boots.

She cut a sleek figure in a turtleneck for her latest outing, making sure to wear her mask amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Her outing comes after she posted to Instagram last August that she was beginning to ride her horse Mr. Nibbles again in spite of her condition.

‘Getting back on my horse,’ she wrote, explaining: ‘It is what I miss the most about my current abilities or disabilities.’

The Cruel Intentions actress added: ‘But today, we managed to get it together to have a few minutes and I could not stop smiling. I can’t feel my left leg, or where my hips are. I break down and freeze when exhausted.’

She shared: ‘We took it slow. I didn’t criticize my equitation too much. I am a mess with MS. I was told I would be jumping in a year when I was first diagnosed.’

Selma confessed: ‘I believed and have had shame I haven’t pulled through for the rest of us. I will always have MS, I now see. Always. But I am going to learn how to use this body, brain and emotions.’

The Anger Management actress shares a nine-year-old son called Arthur with her fashion designer ex Jason Bleick.

She announced that she had multiple sclerosis in 2018 so that the public would not see her symptoms and assume she had relapsed into alcoholism.

‘I didn’t want people to think that I was drunk, because I have a history of that. I’m sober and I’m so proud of that,’ she said at the Time 100 Health Summit in 2019.

‘So that’s really the reason. I’d rather someone think: “Oh, she’s going to be in a wheelchair,” rather than that I’m up in the minibar.’
