Blue star Simon Webbe and his wife Ayshen have spoken of their joy after welcoming a baby girl last month following two devastating miscarriages.
The couple’s bundle of joy, called Cyan Shenel, was delivered early by caesarean section, after doctors discovered she had developed fetal growth restriction.
And elated parents Simon, 45, and Ayshen, 41, introduced their newborn to the world in a shoot with Hello! magazine, as they gushed to the publication that their little daughter has already ‘taken over [their] lives’.

Despite a 12-week scan showing no problems, a 20-week scan revealed fetal growth restriction, caused by problems with the placenta.
At 37 weeks, doctors discovered the child’s legs had stopped growing and concluded they needed to deliver her early by caesarean section.
‘I was so worried and emotional,’ Ayshen said as she recounted her experience.
‘But when I thought, “I can’t do this”, Simon, who’d nursed me for months when I was suffering from extreme morning sickness, was a calming influence and support.
‘With his reassurance and patience, he showed me that together we could get through anything.’
Cyan was delivered at 11.23am on April 1 at the Royal Alexandra hospital in Harlow, Essex, weighing 6lb 4oz.
Recalling that moment, Simon said: ‘When I saw our baby emerge with a boxing stance, throwing a punch and ready to fight the world, I thought, “That’s my girl”.
‘She opened her eyes and stared straight into mine. It was like looking into a mirror. There’s not a word to describe how amazing I felt.

‘It was like when you dream you can fly, soaring above the world with your problems behind you. I didn’t know something so small and tender could have so much power over me.’
Ayshen said: ‘Being a mum is everything and more I dreamed it would be. I feel so happy that I can’t remember what we did before she came along. She’s taken over our lives and we’re enjoying being in a baby bubble with her.’
Pop hunk Simon is also a father to 24-year-old daughter Alanah from a previous relationship with shop assistant Nicola Jones.
In January, Simon announced he and his wife were expecting a baby after two miscarriages.

He revealed the talent manger fell pregnant ‘immediately’ after they decided to take a break from family planning, enthusing: ‘Our baby was made out of love with no pressure.’
The musician and his long-term partner were left ‘devastated’ when they suffered their first loss in February 2019, and went through the same heartbreaking experience a year later.
On prioritising his personal life, the All Rise hitmaker told Hello! magazine: ‘For the last 20 years I’ve been gallivanting all over the world. But now I’ll be concentrating on what’s important, and that’s family.
‘I want to be that solid, strong guy for Ayshen and our baby. Whenever I touch Ayshen’s tummy, the baby moves, as if it knows it’s me. I whisper, ”You’re going to be loved so much and I can’t wait to meet you”.’

The media personality also reflected on the couple’s devastating miscarriages, which took place shortly after they tied the knot in August 2018.

Simon added: ‘We were devastated as we said our goodbyes. Nobody talks much about miscarriage and the physical and emotional effects it has. When it happened for the second time a year later, we went through the pain again.’
They wed in an intimate ceremony at the Corinthia Hotel London, with Blue members Lee Ryan, 37, Antony Costa, 39 and Duncan James, 42, serenading guests with a medley of the band’s greatest hits.
The musician popped the question to Ayshen during a Jamaican getaway on Valentine’s Day in 2017, following a three-year relationship.
They met at a celebrity football match years ago but Ayshen – who was in band Fe-Nix at the time – had a boyfriend at the time.
Over ten years, the two continually crossed paths and Simon slowly carried out his mission to convince her that he was The One.
