Fans turn against ‘sell-out’ Sophie Monk for signing up to yet ANOTHER reality show – after being revealed as Dragonfly on The Masked Singer

Sophie Monk surprised fans after being unmasked as Dragonfly on Monday’s episode of The Masked Singer. 

But not every viewers was pleased to see such a familiar face beneath the costume. 

Following her big reveal, the 40-year-old has been labelled by some Twitter users as a ‘sell-out’ for continually signing up to reality shows in recent years.

‘Does Sophie Monk hold some sort of record for most reality shows ever done by an Aussie celebrity? Not sure there’s any left for her to do?’ one Twitter user groaned. 

‘So does that mean Sophie Monk has been a contestant on more reality TV than anyone else in Oz?’ another added.  

One Twitter user also joked that it was no surprise to see Sophie behind the Dragonfly mask, given her history of TV appearances.

The blonde has amassed an impressive resume of reality TV appearances over the years. 

In 1999 Sophie found fame on reality TV by winning Channel Seven’s singing competition PopStars.

She subsequently joined the band Bardot alongside the other winners, before moving to Hollywood with dreams of launching an acting career. 

Unfortunately, Sophie was unable to crack Tinseltown, and returned back Down Under to pursue a career on the local small screen.  

She returned to the reality genre in 2015 when she won the fourth season of The Celebrity Apprentice.

She was then cast as the star of Channel 10’s reality dating show The Bachelorette in 2017. 

In the following year, she became the host of Love Island Australia, and went on to host the show for two seasons.

Sophie also launched an online cooking show called Social Dinnering with HelloFresh in May this year, promoting regular episodes with celebrity guests. 

However, there have been no new episodes streamed or promoted since.   

A representative for HelloFresh told Daily Mail Australia in June that Social Dinnering won’t be coming back, but that they’re working on a similar project with Sophie.

‘As restrictions have eased we’ve changed the schedule a bit. The next iteration of Sophie enjoying HelloFresh with a celebrity mate will be an in-person dinner.’
