Sunrise weatherman Sam Mac went ‘Instagram official’ with his new girlfriend Rebecca James last month.
And the 40-year-old funnyman proved the romance was still going strong as the couple went for a stroll in Surry Hills, Sydney, on Sunday.
Taking a day off from his weather dispatches, a casually dressed Sam looked relaxed as he held hands with Rebecca, who hails from Melbourne.

The lovebirds walked hand in hand as they stopped by a restaurant together.
The Channel Seven star, whose full name is Sam McMillan, opted for a laid-back look in maroon trackpants and a blue T-shirt.
He kept warm by donning a blue Armani Exchange puffer jacket, and finished things off with a cap, circular sunglasses and white sneakers.

Rebecca also opted for a casual ensemble in a black hoodie and matching leggings.
She accessorised with white sneakers and cat-eye sunglasses.
Sam confirmed the couple’s romance on Instagram on March 27, eight months after his split from his last girlfriend, Elle Whittaker.

Despite only recently vowing to keep his next relationship out of the public eye, couldn’t help but gush over his latest squeeze.
‘This is Bec. We were introduced on Insta last year via our mutual friend,’ he captioned a photo of the pair.
‘Bec lives in Melbourne and I’m in Sydney, so the Victorian border restrictions meant it was illegal for us to meet in person.’

Sam said that despite the restrictions, the duo were able to form a great friendship through ‘Insta chats, phone calls and Friday Zoom drinks’, and that they spoke ‘every single day for almost six months’.
‘So when restrictions eased late last year, we could finally meet in person,’ he added. ‘By this stage I felt like I knew everything about her… except if she was interested in being more than friends.’
He went on to say that over a ‘few Harry Potter marathons and a glass of two of Zonzo [wine]’ the pair discovered they both felt the same way, but ‘were just so cautious about ruining the friendship’.

He continued: ‘Bec is obviously super driven and taking on the world, but it was her calmness and kindness that I was drawn to (and the fact she’s a 17/10).
‘She makes me so happy and I’m absolutely delighted to share her with you guys.’
‘See, 2020 wasn’t all bad,’ he concluded.

It comes after Sam called it quits with communications manager Elle last July, after just a few months of dating.
Following their break-up, he told his former Sunrise colleague Sam Armytage he wanted to keep his next relationship out of the headlines.
Sam confessed on the Something to Talk About podcast he felt ‘burnt’ by the overwhelming public interest in his dating life.
‘At the time, I was happy and I felt like I didn’t have anything to hide. So I did share [the relationship with Elle],’ he said.
‘Yes, when it doesn’t work out or it doesn’t go the distance, there’s definitely interest because people can become invested. I understand it.’
Sam never formally announced his split from Elle on social media, but the pair had not been pictured together since April 20.
