Susanna Reid screams when Dr Hilary Jones ‘gets too close’ to Richard Arnold

Susanna Reid was left screaming when Dr Hilary Jones accidentally got too close to Richard Arnold on Good Morning Britain on Tuesday. 

Dr Hilary, 67, accidentally risked social distancing rules, causing Susanna, 49, to shout: ‘No, no, no!’ while live on air. 

He had been wishing Richard a happy 51st birthday when he ‘got too close’, leading Susanna to panic. 

She shouted: ‘Stay socially distanced. Oh dear, oh my goodness. I mean honestly, you’d think Dr Hilary would.’

Piers Morgan, 55, said: ‘You’re too close.’ 

Luckily their words were heeded in time and they stayed the safe distance apart.  

Elsewhere in the show, Piers said that viewers had compared Susanna’s look to Dorian from Birds Of A Feather, famously played by Lesley Joseph. 

Susanna had gone for a 70s style curly haired look and he said he had finally worked out who she looked like as he held up a picture of Dorian. 

They did a split pic and Susanna jokingly pulled a similar expression to the character.  

She was also wearing an almost identical outfit, in her pink leopard print blouse, just like the one Dorian was wearing. 

It looked as though Dorian had a heavy night in the snap as she leaned against the wall.  

Piers said ‘that’s fantastic!’ before adding: ‘that’s scary!’
