Texas: Skydivers tuck into slices of margherita as they freefall towards the ground from 14,000 feet

A pizza the action! Skydivers tuck into slices of margherita as they freefall towards the ground from 14,000 feet

  • Lori Patalocco, 43, and three friends attempted to eat pizza while in mid-air
  • The group of four spent days practicing in the sky above Houston, Texas
  • The person filming opened the pizza box and pulled out a slice as they fell

This is the incredible moment four skydivers tucked into a margherita pizza after jumping from a plane 14,000 feet in the air.

Lori Patalocco, 43, and three others formed a circle around the pizza in mid-air over Houston, Texas, and calmly tucked in as they plummeted towards the ground.

Footage showed the friends trying to stick together as they fell, with two jumping out of the plane while holding the pizza box between them.

The person filming then opened the box, pulled out a pizza slice and put it into one of the others’ mouths.

Below them square fields were growing rapidly larger as the group fell. It seemed quite difficult to actually move while in the air, with the person filming just holding a pizza slice while falling.

Ms Petalocco, from Houston, Texas, said: ‘This was the most incredible and awesome jump I’ve ever done.’

She revealed her friend Melissa loved pizza and wanted to see if it was possible to eat it while in the sky.

She added: ‘My friend Melissa loves pizza. She wanted to know if we could do a jump where we eat pizza in the sky.

‘We were stoked and excited we could make Melissia’s idea come true. We would love to try this again.

‘Eating pizza in the sky is way better than pizza on the ground.’

The crew practiced for days before attempting the pizza feat at Skydive Spaceland, Houston, before downing a slice of pie as they fell through the air.
