The Bachelor: Jimmy Nicholson ‘disappointed’ with ‘fame-hungry’ contestants

The Bachelor EXCLUSIVE: ‘He could tell some girls were putting on an act’: Jimmy Nicholson was ‘disappointed’ with his ‘fame-hungry’ contestants, source claims

He’s been labelled Australia’s most amorous Bachelor, having kissed six women in the first two weeks.

But it appears Jimmy Nicholson’s opinion of his contestants changed over time, with a source telling Daily Mail Australia he became disillusioned when he learned some of them only wanted to be famous.

The production insider claimed 31-year-old pilot Jimmy was ‘disappointed’ with some of his options and suspected a few were not there for the right reasons.

‘He could tell some girls were putting on an act’: The Bachelor’s Jimmy Nicholson was ‘disappointed’ with his ‘fame-hungry’ contestants, a source has claimed

‘Jimmy could tell some of the girls were putting on an act,’ they said.

‘He felt that some of them were loud and would fake laugh or cry, so the cameras would focus on them.’

They went on to claim that last week’s C-word scandal – which saw Stephanie Lynch call bookies’ favourite Holly Kingston a ‘c**t’ – included ‘theatrics’ on both sides.

Meanwhile, Jimmy reportedly felt some of the girls ‘didn’t have enough depth’ and worried others were just saying what he wanted to hear to stay on the show.

It comes days after another source claimed Jimmy was ‘distancing’ himself from certain rejected contestants after learning they’d been spreading gossip about him.

‘He doesn’t think it’s normal and doesn’t understand why they are acting this way,’ a source told Daily Mail Australia.

‘The girls obviously didn’t take the rejection well.

‘The girls were writing nasty things about him in the group chat, sending memes and spreading gossip in a private WhatsApp group chat.’

The Bachelor continues Wednesday at 7.30pm on Channel 10
