Paparazzi photos taken on Thursday show the pair looking understandably bored as they while away the long hours of quarantine.

While there’s nothing to suggest they aren’t every bit as loved-up as they say on social media, the images highlight the dull reality of self-isolation for many Australians travelling interstate during the coronavirus pandemic.

Irena, 31, who has lined up a nursing job in Perth, looked rather bored as she chilled out on the balcony, scrolling through her iPhone.

As the couple began their 14 days of mandatory hotel isolation last week, Locky wrote on Instagram: ‘Hopefully Irena still looks at me the same after 14 days stuck in a room with me.’

Last Friday, Irena, who hails from Melbourne, revealed she had finally arrived in Western Australia after her travel permit was approved.

‘After many attempts we’re finally in Perth. I had to apply for a G2G like everyone else and it wasn’t easy. I was rejected time and time again but it was finally approved,’ she said.
