It affects around five to eight per cent of pregnancies in Australia and in some rare cases it can be deadly.

‘Things don’t look great unfortunately, and all headed down the horrible path I went down last pregnancy.’

The makeup artist had been forced to seek medical treatment for preeclampsia in 2019 during her first pregnancy with daughter Laila – on the same weekend her baby shower was scheduled.

On Wednesday, Emily admitted on Instagram she was missing, Laila, one, while being treated for the condition in hospital.

‘It’s only been one day away from home and I already miss my little girl like crazy,’ she captioned an image of her eldest child.
