The Bachelor’s Kelley Flanagan details ‘non-negotiables’ that resulted in her split with Peter Weber

Kelley Flanagan opened up about her and Peter Weber’s breakup during an appearance on Kaitlyn Bristowe’s podcast, Off the Vine, this week.

While discussing why she and the 29-year-old pilot split, the attorney also revealed they briefly rekindled their relationship, but called it quits for good last month.

‘On my end, there were just a lot of non-negotiables in the relationship that they essentially were seeming to be worked on or saying that they were going to be worked on or changed, and actions kind of speak louder than words,’ said the fifth runner-up on Weber’s season of The Bachelor.

She continued: ‘If there is something that I saw as disrespectful in a relationship, I would speak on it and I was pretty vocal.’

While she would directly tell him when he did something to make her ‘feel like sh*t,’ Flanagan said they couldn’t seem to fix their problem areas.

The reality star noted things ‘weren’t really changing’ and, eventually, she had to ‘accept that.’

‘It sucks,’ the beauty said of their parting. ‘He essentially tried to get back together and was trying to work on things and I was pretty, pretty hesitant towards all of it.’

While they’ve since separated, Flanagan was persuaded to get back with Weber after he told her, ‘I love you, I want to get back together with you.’

However, by Valentine’s Day their relationship was over.

‘I don’t think I will be in communication with him,’ she added. ‘It’s a place in my past, I’m focusing on my future wishes. I don’t think it was the healthiest thing for me to keep [my] past and [my] future and I wish him well.’

Despite planning to move to New York City together earlier this year, Weber made the move alone.

As for heading to the Big Apple just months after her ex, she quipped: ‘It’s a big city, we’ll be fine.’

‘There was never a time where I was like, ‘Okay, well, since you’re moving [there] I’m not gonna move there,’ she told Bristowe.

During Weber’s run on The Bachelor last year, Flanagan left the show in the seventh week; he initially selected Hannah Ann Sluss but their engagement collapsed amid his romantic attraction to Madison Prewitt. He was first linked to Flanagan last April.

Weber first announced their split on New Year’s Eve, saying they ‘decided to go our separate ways.’

‘While our relationship was filled with countless beautiful memories, our relationship simply didn’t work out in the end,’ he wrote.

‘Kelley is someone I will always have a special love for. Someone I have learned more from than she will ever understand. Someone I am so thankful came into my life and someone who I will always wish all of life’s greatest blessings on,’ he wrote.

Meanwhile, a week later she wrote: ‘Peter and I had some unbelievable times together and they will definitely be missed. Unfortunately him and I are in two different stages of our lives and saw our future paths differently.’

Flanagan made clear she bore no ill will toward him, saying, ‘I wish Peter the absolute best and want to thank everyone for your continued support as I move on to my next chapter.’
