‘It’s like Ramsay Street!’ The Block filming location confirmed as Channel Nine buys up five homes in a quiet cul-de-sac in Hampton, Victoria
The Block 2021 season will film in Hampton, Victoria, it has been confirmed.
TV Tonight reported on Saturday that Channel Nine has purchased five homes in a quiet cul-de-sac, Bronte Court.
The affluent suburb is 14km from Melbourne’s CBD and is in the City of Bayside, which is the council involved with the current season.

TV tonight compared the location to Ramsay Street – the cosy neighbourhood featured in soap opera Neighbours.
One of the five properties purchased for the show was reportedly owned by The Block auctioneer Nicole Jacobs, and sold in June for $3,025,000.
Producer Julian Cress told the website: ‘We’re really excited about next year, because we have found a property that actually meets that brief that we’ve set ourselves.

‘I’s something that we’ve never done before and we’re very excited about it.’
Applications also recently closed for the 2021 season of The Block.
‘The Block will return in 2021 for an astonishing 17th season,’ a spokesperson said at the 2021 Nine Upfronts.
‘While we can’t say too much just yet, we can confirm that next year’s series will take place in the ultimate family-friendly setting of a picturesque suburban cul de sac.’

Meanwhile, the current season of the renovation show was filmed on a large block of land in Brighton.
This year’s contestants have spent the last few weeks renovating their homes in front of a national audience.
As The Block nears the end of its 2020 season, all of the homes have officially gone on Melbourne’s property market.
