The Block stars Harry and Tash reunite with their ‘besties’ Sarah and George following the show’s finale… after BOTH pairs walked away with a $650,000 profit post auction

The 2020 season of The Block finally came to a close last month, after weeks of hard work for each of the five couples.

And it appears some of the teams formed a very close bond – and have already reunited for a lunch date in Melbourne.

On Monday, Sarah and George Bragias met up with father-daughter duo Harry and Tash Pavlou for some lunch at Greek restaurant Meat Me Souvlakeri, appearing in high spirits knowing that the tense finale had finally taken place.

‘It’s only been a few days but we already miss our Block besties,’ Harry and Tash wrote alongside pictures of the beaming foursome, as they enjoyed some well-deserved downtime after a stressful few months.

It’s no wonder the pairs are grinning – as both walked away with hundreds of thousands of dollars last month post-auction.

It was already a difficult year for the contestants, who had to halt production mid-way through due to the coronavirus pandemic.

But at the end of filming, Sarah and George earned a whopping $650,002 after their property sold for $4,000,002 – which Sarah claimed was ‘nuts’.

And it was the same for Harry and Tash, who despite going last in the auction walked away with a profit of $650,000, following a bid of $4,000,000.

After their win, Sarah revealed the pair could finally start a family with their funds.

‘We can literally have babies now!’ she said.

Harry said he was pleased that all the contestants had a chance to change their lives from their winnings.

‘All of them are paying off their mortgages, they’re going to be debt-free, they can start their families, they don’t have that stress of a mortgage and raising their kids that I went through,’ he said.

The series finale saw a stellar result for the Block with Jimmy and Tam smashing a TV record, pocketing $966,000 from the sale of their home.
