A plus-size model and a very familiar reality star: Meet the influencers set to star of Netflix’s upcoming series Byron Baes

Netflix’s Byron Baes is one of the most highly-anticipated shows of the year.

And it seems two cast-members of the upcoming, influencer-themed reality series have now been leaked.

According to Emerald City, former Love Island star Elias Chigros and plus-size model Jessica Vander Leahy are set to star on the upcoming show.

Strapping Elias was a breakout star on Love Island Australia back in 2018, but failed to find romance on the show.

The reality star’s incredible physique and handsome face has seen him gain a whopping 120,000 followers on Instagram.

Meanwhile, Jessica is a curvaceous model who is known for sharing fitness tips and inspirational quotes on her Instagram for her 90,000 followers.

A number of names have been thrown around about who will star in the series including Elyse Knowles.

However, the former Block star shut down nay talk of her appearing on the TV show this week, telling fans said she’s completely focussed on motherhood at the moment.

‘Just putting it out there, I am not on Byron Baes, no, no, no… I’m not,’ Elyse said in a video of herself while at the beach with her newborn.

Ruby posted a promotional image for Byron Baes on Instagram Stories last week and wrote: ‘For everyone asking if I’ll be on this show, I declined the offer.’

‘Goodbye Byron, you are officially cooked. How embarrassing,’ she added.

Ruby also used the hashtag #ShireRepeat?, in reference to Channel 10’s short-lived 2012 reality show about the glamorous residents of Sydney’s Sutherland Shire.

Byron Baes will run for eight episodes in total.

A press release for the program describes Byron Baes as a ‘docu-soap series’.

‘This is our love letter to Byron Bay,’ it states.

‘It’s not just Chris [Hemsworth] and Zac [Efron]’s backyard; it’s the playground of more celebrity-adjacent influencers than you can poke a selfie-stick at.’

There will be ‘fights, flings and heartbreak’ on offer, too.
