To TV soap fans, 2 Coronation Street is better known as Audrey Roberts hair salon, but in Ince, near Wigan, it’s the address of a unusual ground floor flat for sale in a former police station.
The converted flat is a unique retails some of the original features that were in the police station when it was operational in the 1900s.
These include a barred door at the entrance to the bathroom and a food hatch on the door to a storage area – which is now being advertised by the estate agent as a walk-in wardrobe.

The police station dates back to 1900 and was taken out of use in the early 2000s. It was left untouched until last year when it was converted into four homes.
The ground floor flat is being auctioned online by SDL Auctions in partnership with Alan Batt estate agents, ending on August 11 at 2pm.
The two-bedroom property has a guide price of £100,000, although properties being sold at auction tend to end up selling for far more.
