The Crown’s Emma Corrin channels Princess Diana as she unveils her new cropped haircut

The Crown’s Emma Corrin appeared to have taken inspiration from her role as Princess Diana as she unveiled a new cropped haircut in London on Friday.

The actress, 24, who is nominated at Sunday’s Golden Globes 2021 for her portrayal of the late Diana in the fourth series of the Netflix show, sported blonder and shorter locks as she enjoyed a stroll with a friend.

Emma cut a low-key figure in an oversized cricket jumper with a rainbow striped patterned on the neckline.

The actress paired the item of clothing with light-coloured trousers and a striped T-shirt underneath.

Adding some finishing touches, Emma opted for white trainers and a black crossover handbag.

The actress appeared to have taken inspiration from her portrayal of Diana on The Crown as her new hairstyle had an uncanny resemblance to the wigs she wore on set to transform into the late princess.

Emma’s appearance came ahead of Sunday’s Golden Globes 2021 where she is nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a TV Series, Drama, for her role in series four of the hit Netflix series.

My Policeman, which director Michael Grandage will shoot from April, is set in 1957 and the early 1990s.

In My Policeman, Emma will play Marion, who falls for her best friend’s big brother, Tom Burgess (Styles), a policeman in post-war Brighton.

The third member of the love triangle is Patrick Hazelwood, who’s as besotted with PC Burgess as Marion is.

The movie, backed by Amazon Films, is based on Bethan Roberts’s 2012 novel, explores the sexual politics of the 1950s, and the criminalisation of homosexuality.
