Australia’s first Bachelor mansion – where Tim and Anna Robards (née Hienrich) fell in love seven years ago – has sold for almost $10 million.

The luxurious Northern Beaches mansion in Sydney’s Bayview had been on the market for more than 18 months before an interested buyer snapped it up.

The palatial home, known as ‘La Joie de Vivre’, has picturesque ocean views, a swimming pool with a waterfall and a grand entrance foyer with 24-carat gold filigree balustrades.

According to Domain, freight tycoon Clive Thomas sold the French provincial-style manor for an estimated $9.5 million, but the buyer remains a mystery.

The property, which is inspired by France’s grand chateaus, boasts a wealth of incredible features on top of its impressive six bedrooms and seven bathrooms. 

Surrounded by breathtaking scenery, the new owner will no doubt enjoy the Bayview home’s panoramic views over Pittwater to the ocean.

The mansion also comes with its own gymnasium.
