The stars on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! are forced to entertain themselves while awaiting trials and challenges in the jungle.

And recent evictee, singer Jack Vidgen, has revealed the one bizarre thing that celebrities were banned from doing with one another in camp.

‘We were constantly getting told off’: Jack Vidgen (pictured) has claimed the 2020 I’m A Celebrity stars – which included four professional singers – ‘weren’t allowed to sing any commercial songs’ in camp. But they did so anyway and had the scenes cut

Speaking to News.com.au on Monday, Jack said the show’s stars – which this year included four professional singers – ‘weren’t allowed to sing any commercial songs’.

‘But we all were anyway… We were constantly getting told over the speakers (by producers), “Celebrities, don’t sing! Make up your own songs if you have to”,’ Jack cheekily revealed of scenes that will never make it to air.

The ban on singing commercial songs is due to copyright issues.

'It [Amazing Grace] was cleared for copyright, so that was perfect': The ban on singing was due to copyright issues, but Jack was able to perform a stunning rendition of Christian hymn Amazing Grace with singer Paulini Curuenavuli (left) last week as it was written before 1925

The celebrities have been shown making up their own songs in camp, and while The Bachelor’s Abbie Chatfield taught Robert ‘Dipper’ DiPierdomenico the Cardi B-inspired ‘WAP dance’ – the music or lyrics never featured in the scenes.

Jack did however perform a stunning rendition of Christian hymn Amazing Grace with singer Paulini Curuenavuli last week.

‘It [Amazing Grace] was cleared for copyright, so that was perfect,’ Jack said, as songs written before 1925 are no in the public domain.
