The Umbrella Academy cast members ‘score large pay raises’

The Umbrella Academy cast members ‘band together for salary renegotiations and score large pay raises for season three’

Some of the core cast members for the superhero series The Umbrella Academy showed their strength in solidarity when it unified by a common goal.

Six of the main actors – Tom Hopper, David Castañeda, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Robert Sheehan, Aidan Gallagher, and Justin H. Min – banded together during salary renegotiations and scored a substantial pay raise, according to Variety

As a result, each of them will now earn more than $200,000 per episode for the upcoming season three of the Netflix-UCP hit show.

Strength in solidarity: Six of the core cast members from the superhero series The Umbrella Academy renegotiated their salaries as a group and scored large pay raises; the group include (l to r) Robert Sheehan, Justin H. Min, Aidan Gallagher, Ellen Page (exempt from group negotiations), Tom Hopper, Castañeda and Emmy Raver-Lampman

The show’s lead actor, Elliot Page, will also benefit from a salary increase for season three but was not directly involved with the group’s effort to renegotiate together, according to the website

It turns out Page, 33, had already been making more money heading into the premiere of the series due to their star power, which includes a Best Actress Oscar nomination for Juno (2007).

A source familiar with the series did add that Elliot was ‘supportive of the group’s effort.’

On the heels of its initial success, season two premiered in July 2020 and has since seen its viewership increase dramatically.
