The Voice: Stunning photos reveal the futuristic stage and new door pusher

This is The Voice! Stunning photos reveal the futuristic stage, dramatic lighting effects and first EVER female ‘door pusher’

The Voice is set to return bigger and better than ever when it airs on Channel Nine later this month.

The singing competition will be filmed in a new studio, and will boast one of the biggest undercover stages in the Southern Hemisphere, according to 9Now.

An energy enhancing crystal was built into the front of the stage to help the contestants stay calm and focused during their performances.

For years, the show has featured a backstage ‘door pusher’ – someone who holds the door for the contestants – and this year’s ‘door pusher’ is a woman.

There is also a selfie-friendly area for the contestants called ‘The Cube’, which is a box-shaped space with The Voice posters plastered all over the walls.

The show’s backstage area is also fully equipped with musical instruments, including an array of guitars, basses and amplifiers.

Along with returning coaches Delta Goodrem, Boy George, Guy Sebastian and Kelly Rowland, this year’s show will also feature news hosts Darren McMullen and Renee Bargh.

According to 9Now, Darren, 38, would often retreat to his trailer to meditate when they weren’t filming, while Renee’s trailer was filled with scented candles and clothing.

In an interview with 9Now back in February, Kelly confessed there’s still plenty of tension between herself and fellow coach Boy George, 58.

‘We love to get under each other’s skin. It’s the most interesting relationship I probably have in my life,’ the 39-year-old revealed.
