Thin-skinned Big Brother star Skye Wheatley lashes out at Celeb Spellcheck after being criticised for ‘copying’ her gender reveal video
Big Brother star Skye Wheatley has blasted Celeb Spellcheck after the popular Instagram account accused her of copying another influencer’s gender reveal.
Celeb Spellcheck, a profile with 100,000 followers dedicated to spreading gossip and correcting typos, had noted the similarities between Skye’s video announcing she was having a baby boy and another video by YouTuber Desi Perkins.
As reported by Outspoken the Podcast, Skye, 26, alleged Celeb Spellcheck was ‘bullying’ her by simply pointing out how similar the announcements were.

‘Celeb Spellcheck – the online bullying [platform] – is back at it saying I fully done a rip-off of Desi Perkins, but to be honest we all get our inspiration from somewhere,’ she rambled.
Skye’s gender reveal with her boyfriend, Lachlan Waugh, showed the couple lying on a picnic blanket with their two-year-old son, Forest.
The video – posted last week – started in black and white, before splashes of blue emerged on the flowers and balloons surrounding the trio, revealing they were having a son.
The reveal was very similar to one Desi made with her husband, Steven Perkins, in June. Theirs showed the couple outside on a blanket surrounded by blue flowers.
‘Like, from the bottom of my heart, I honestly had no idea that she did that,’ Skye said, responding to Celeb Spellcheck highlighting the similarities.

‘I actually only just started following her, I think, around the time she was, like pregnant or had a baby – but I never saw her gender reveal.’
This isn’t the first time Skye has been featured on Celeb Spellcheck, as she was mocked in December for making a rookie error when she uploaded a video of her bikini haul on Instagram.
As she tried on several designs of swimwear, fans could not help but notice an awkward detail about her post.

She appeared to have cut and pasted instructions from the brand supplying the bikinis, without having read them first.
Skye’s caption read, in part: ‘All yours are Brazilian butt coverage, but we also have option to choose “cheeky” for more butt coverage.’
Several fans noticed the error and accused Skye of ‘misleading’ them by saying she had ordered the items herself, when in fact it seemed they were gifted to her.
