Dietitian Susie Burrell has shared the perfect work lunchbox to motivate adults to prepare food for themselves just like they would for their children.

The lunchbox was filled with a turkey and salad wrap along a scoop of granola, strawberries, grapes, sliced cucumber and chocolate biscuits for a ‘sweet treat’.

‘Who says lunchboxes are only for kids? Parents spend hours packing nutritious, colourful lunchboxes for their kids yet forget to make themselves something yummy to enjoy at lunchtime,’ the Sydney-based expert wrote on Instagram.

‘This lunchbox literally took me five minutes to make (quite a bit longer to photograph) and strikes a perfect balance between nutrition and delicious food,’ she said.

‘Add a tea or coffee and you have an entire data worth of food that is packed full of nutrition.’

The quick and easy meal idea can be made in the morning when preparing school lunchboxes for children.

The meal prep would also be suitable for those who are time poor since no cooking is involved – as long as cured deli meat is used.

Online she said you don’t have to starve yourself in order to lose weight, and you can still enjoy your favourite foods like bread, cheese and the odd sweet treat while getting lean.

Food including low-carb bread, crackers, cheese, fish, lean meats and yoghurt is highly recommended.
