‘You’re not getting that at the ABC!’ Today hosts are left STUNNED by Brooke Boney’s impressive twerking skills (but Allison Langdon’s attempt leaves much to be desired)
She’s still recovering from knee surgery after a watersports accident in February.
So Today show viewers were no doubt surprised to see Allison Langdon up and dancing on Thursday morning.
The mother of two, 41, was encouraged by her co-hosts to twerk live on air – but her lacklustre attempt was soon overshadowed by entertainment reporter Brooke Boney.

Allison’s co-host Karl Stefanovic and several producers asked her to show off her moves after airing a segment about a group of scantily clad dancers twerking at the launch of a new $2billion Navy ship in Sydney.
Her attempt was awkward at best, as she gracelessly shunted her body back and forth before sitting back on the couch.
‘That was too sexy for morning TV,’ she said with a laugh. ‘I’ve never understood it.’

Karl jokingly described it as ‘the robot twerk’ and then asked Brooke if she could do any better.
She was hesitant to play along at first, but then kicked off her heels and began a very impressive twerking routine.
‘I’m nervous!’ Brooke yelped before squatting with her hands on her knees and rhythmically shaking her derriere in a tight black dress.
After twerking for a few seconds, she buried her face in her hands in embarrassment and turned away from the camera.

Meanwhile, the presenters and crew cheered as a visibly flustered blurted out: ‘Gee wiz! You’re not getting that at the ABC!’
Allison, who had been thoroughly outperformed in the twerking contest, didn’t quite know what to say after Brooke’s performance.
‘We need lessons later, Brooke. Wow, that’s so good!’ she said, to which Karl replied: ‘Let’s leave all the dancing to Brooke.’

The impromptu twerk-off comes amid outrage over a ship-launching ceremony in Sydney’s Woolloomooloo which featured a parade of scantily clad dancers twerking.
The launch of the $2billion HMAS Supply was attended by Navy top brass, including chief Michael Joseph Noonan, and Governor-General David Hurley.
The risqué dance moves were not enjoyed by everyone, however, with a Liberal MP slamming the decision to commission such an unusual performance.
The choice of entertainment was also met with bewilderment on social media.
