- Complained channel not available despite ‘propaganda’ outlet RT being on offer
- The broadcaster launched earlier this month pledging to tackle ‘woke’ culture
Tory MPs today demanded GB News is added to the parliament’s TV service.
Conservatives have written to the Commons authorities pointing out that ‘propaganda’ like Russia-backed channel RT is available on the estate.
But they said they are unable to watch the fledgling broadcaster at work, insisting the situation must be ‘put right soon’.
The news network, which is fronted by former BBC interrogator Andrew Neil and launched earlier this month, has promised to take on so-called ‘cancel’ and ‘woke’ culture.
However, it has been hit with the withdrawal of advertising from companies such as Ikea, cider firm Kopparberg and Octopus Energy.

Tory MP Paul Bristow tweeted a copy of the letter he has sent to the cross-party Administration Committee calling for the channel to be added.
‘The news channels available to MPs and their staff include propaganda like @RT.com,’ he wrote.
‘But as of yet, we can’t get the new entrant in proper broadcasting @GBNews. I am sure this will be put right soon.’
In the letter to the committee, which is responsible for overseeing facilities on the estate, Mr Bristow said: ‘The status of propaganda stations like Russia Today as suitable ”news” for Parliamentarians is debatable.
‘The relevance of GB News is not.
‘It is somewhat disappointing that no provision has yet been made for this important entrant to UK news broadcasting.’
Tory MP Craig Mackinlay told MailOnline he backed the move. ‘I’d rather have GB News on the ticker all day long rather than Sky News,’ he said.
