‘User not found’: Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck DON’T FOLLOW each other on social media 

Their love story began before Instagram was even in existence. 

And though Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s romance picked back up in the digital age, offline love may be the key to success as it was revealed they don’t follow each other on social media.  

Despite going Instagram official in July, a search for both names on the stars’ respective pages renders a ‘user not found.’ 

Ben’s Instagram following count stands at 94 and includes his beloved Boston Red Sox, GQ, and he and Matt Damon’s Pearl Street Films production company, to name a few. 

Lopez on the other hand follows 1,315 accounts including 21 JLo fan pages, but Affleck’s handle is noticeably absent. 

A deeper dive into their digital footprint shows that the two have no online engagement with the exception of the Hustlers star liking a photo of Ben on a fan account in early July, per TMZ. 

And though she made their romance Instagram official on her birthday (July 24 ) with a picture of them kissing on a superyacht in St. Tropez, she never even tagged the actor. 

Though in this day and age many relationships between celebrities form via direct messages or even on dating apps — with Ben notoriously being seen on Raya pre JLo — the Gone Girl actor chose to shoot his shot via email back in February. 

At the time she was still engaged to Alex Rodriguez but he wrote to tell her ‘how beautiful she looked,’ among other things, and by April she and A-Rod had called it quits. 

Two weeks later Bennifer stepped out publicly and the two have been hot and heavy ever since. 

As they’ve been virtually attached at the hip since that time, it’s possible the pair have felt no need to keep up with each other digitally as the real thing is right there. 

However the two have jam packed fall schedules that will take them in opposite directions, with Ben set to head to Texas this week for his film Hypnotic, and Lopez heading to Canada in October to start on her next movie.

A PEOPLE source said that as the two have ‘months of working coming up’ the couple ‘plan on spending the holidays together,’ while being mindful of keeping their kids the priority. 

‘They will both get a break. For Jennifer, Christmas is all about the kids. She makes it very special for them,’ the insider said, adding that ‘Ben wants to be with his kids too.’

It was added that balancing their children ‘will take some more planning’ and that they ‘haven’t made any specific holiday decisions yet and are still working it all out.’
