Vanderpump Rules editor admits it’s ‘her favorite game’ to embarrass Scheana Shay

A Vanderpump Rules editor is dishing on some big production secrets about the cast of the Bravo show.

Editor Bri Dellinger appeared on now-deleted episodes of the Twisted Plot Podcast with Evelyn Marley, and admitted that she finds Scheana, 35, so funny that she goes out of her way to embarrass her with the cuts she uses.

‘If Scheana knows what’s good for her, she’d befriend me because my favorite game is finding all the embarrassing things that Scheana does and putting them all in.’ Bri confessed.

A Vanderpump Rules editor has admitted to intentionally trying to embarrass Scheana Shay with what they choose to put into the show

Bri was discussing how she’s surprised the cast isn’t friendly with her, despite her knowing everything about them and working on footage of their lives for many hours a week.

‘They don’t really think about or talk to us at all,’ she said. ‘I feel like they should totally want to be friends with me. I know everything about them. Oh, wait! Maybe that’s why they don’t want to be friends with me.’

Bri admitted ‘it must be really creepy to talk to an editor who’s been looking at your face, like, 50 hours a week,’

In particular, Bri wanted to be friends with Stassi Schroeder, but said she just wasn’t interested.

‘I was like, “I am totally going to be friends with Stassi.” No, that didn’t happen’ she revealed. ‘Like, I met her at the premiere parties and she doesn’t care about me — nor does anybody.’

Additionally, Bri said that Stassi and her fiance Beau Clark have been made ‘heroes’ by the network and get special edits.

While showrunner Bill Langworthy has the final say on how the show looks, Bri said ‘Bravo makes a lot of calls too. And Bravo decided that Stassi and Beau were special heroes.

‘And so we do try to have Stassi and Beau in all the shows but it’s a Bravo call and not a Producer Jerry call.

Bri even went as far to admit that she manipulated the recently-aired scene between Scheana and Stassi’s teenage brother Nikolai – to make it look like Scheana was interested in him romantically.

‘It was so funny,’ Bri began. ‘We were watching the scene and were like, “Okay, this is over the top, I realize that, but how can we resist?” … Yes, I set it to funny music and I added a funny [sound] bite, but she did that.’

'I understand why she's bitter in some ways. You know, we do poke fun at her, but she's just so funny.' Bri said of Scheana

Bri continued: ‘We asked her in the interview, “How young would you go?” and we didn’t tell her it was for the Nikolai scene, of course.’

As a result of the editing, Scheana, who is often portrayed as ‘boy crazy’ on the show, was forced to address the scene, which was cut to make it look like she was referring to Nikolai when talking about younger men.

She took to social media last week to deny she was interested in the teen, writing in a tweet: ‘About it’??? It was most definitely NOT about Nikolai,’

‘You ppl are disgusting for thinking this,’ she accused. ‘He’s a kid I’ve watched grow up.’

Scheana has previously accused editors of not highlighting her successes enough, to which Bri said, ‘I feel like she just has short-term memory because we’ve shown a lot of her story.

And Scheana has apparently been upset by how she’s been portrayed in season eight of the show.

An insider told Page Six: ‘Scheana’s definitely frustrated with how she’s been portrayed,’ the insider said.

‘She’s not the type to pop off when she feels slighted by an unflattering edit. She signed on to be a part of a reality show, which requires her to share her life highs and lows; she just wishes audiences got to see a bit of a more balanced view of her life, not just the most cringe-worthy moments.

'She's going to be absolutely crushed by hearing that she's actually the butt of the joke.' A source said

‘She’s been assured by the network and production that she’s part of the charade,’ the source added. ‘She’s going to be absolutely crushed by hearing that she’s actually the butt of the joke.’

Scheana has not addressed Bri’s comments but she did tweet Bravo’s Andy Cohen on Monday night, seemingly referring to the revelations, ‘Hey @Andy I have some tea for you … check your DMs!’ before deleting the message.

Mysteriously, the podcast episodes that Bri appeared on had been removed from the site on Tuesday.
