Vanessa Bryant celebrates Halloween with her daughters in Star Wars and Madeline costumes

Holidays without a loved one are never easy, a tragic reality the Bryant family is learning all too well.

Despite the immeasurable loss of husband Kobe and daughter Gianna, 14, in late January, Vanessa Bryant is determined to make the most of festive occasions for her other three daughters.

On Saturday the 38-year-old shared a glimpse into her Halloween celebration, as she and daughters Natalia, 17, Bianka, three, and one-year-old Capri, dressed up in matching costumes.

Opting to do two themes for the holiday, the Bryant family chose Star Wars and storybook classic Madeline as their inspirations this year.

Showing that her family was a ‘force’ to be reckoned with, the family unit dressed up as varying characters from the intergalactic franchise.

Vanessa played the role of Darth Vader, with Natalia as BB-8, Bianka as a Storm Trooper and little Capri as an Ewok, as they posed for a memorable photoshoot.

Posing with her eldest daughter, Vanessa held Natalia close as they took a photo by themselves.

Grinning from ear to ear, they seemed to be making the most of the holiday despite it being the first without their full family unit present.

In another snap, Bryant cradled Bianka as she gave her a sweet peck on the lips.

Switching up the costumes, the girls went for a childhood classic as they did their best tribute to the book Madeline.

Bringing the festivities home, Vanessa filled her kitchen with Halloween themed treats and spooky decor.

The girls indulged in rice krispie treats in the shape of a pumpkin and made haunted houses out of gingerbread cookies, decorating them with candy.

Though their lives have been completely turned upside down since losing Kobe and Gianna last winter, Vanessa maintains to be a survivor and a fierce role model for her three daughters.

Recently she shared her love for the Lakers, as her husband’s team brought home the Championship win for their beloved Kobe, despite it being bittersweet.

She shared an old photo of the incomparable duo, congratulating the team on their achievement while remembering the two missing pieces of her heart.
