The highly-anticipated film adaptation of the renown Broadway musical Tick, Tick…Boom! resumed production in NYC this month.

And Vanessa Hudgens had COVID-19 related precautions in place as she arrived to set on Friday afternoon.

The 31-year-old actress looked ready for her close up, despite wearing a medical grade mask and a large face shield.

Vanessa looked ultra chic in a grey longline cardigan that she layered over a form fitting black maxi dress.

To accentuate her enviable hour glass shape, Hudgens fastened a belt with a large silver buckle around her waist.

The High School Musical alum’s stylish ensemble also included a pair of black leather heeled boots and a designer purse that she kept tucked under her arm. 

Her brunette tresses were noticeably blown out and styled to perfectly frame her heart-shaped face.

Vanessa sported a fresh cherry red manicure and her naturally beautiful features were accentuated with a bit of cool toned eyeshadow and a generous amount of blush. 

She kept her iPhone in one hand and an iced latte in the other as she strutted down the street towards the production’s film crew.

Hudgens was accompanied by two bodyguards, while passerbys took a moment to survey the active film set.

Vanessa plays Karessa Johnson in the upcoming film, which is based on a play of the same name by Rent writer Jonathan Larson.

The autobiographical off-Broadway play tells the story of Larson, a composer who is grappling with his career choice; Andrew Garfield plays the lead.

The upcoming movie-musical also stars The Handmaid’s Tale’s Bradley Whitford, Alexandra Shipp and The Politician’s, Judith Light.

Vanessa gave fans a peek into her life on set of the highly anticipated film via her Instagram Story on Friday.

She captured a photo of herself having her rolled into rollers by an onset hairstylist as she kept cozy in a skeleton print sweatshirt.

In a follow up clip, the Princess Switch star showcased her head full of rollers, as well as her extensive PPE, while vibing to some club music in the back of an SUV.

She took her dancing up a notch by setting her iPhone up against a pillar and capturing herself whipping around her grey cardigan and busting out a few moves.

‘When you get caught groovin’!’ captioned Hudgens, who had her dance party unexpectedly interrupted by one of the film’s crew members.

Vanessa’s onset antics continued as filming carried on into the evening in the Big Apple.
