Vanessa Hudgens stands out in a green suit as filming for The Princess Switch 3 gets underway in Scotland

Vanessa Hudgens was pictured filming The Princess Switch 3 for the first time at Scotland’s Gosford House, near East Lothian, on Saturday.

The actress, 32, stood out in teal green co-ords as she stepped into the role of Duchess Margaret Delacourt.

Wrapping up against the chilly climes, the singer – who was surrounded by extras – styled her longline coat and wide-leg trousers with a crisp shirt and thick gloves.

The producer’s tresses were worn in a half up half down fashion, while her complexion was enhanced with minimal make-up.

And as with all professional film productions, the utmost precautions are being taken to ensure all those on set are at minimal risk of infection.

Like many parts of the US, Scotland is currently under a coronavirus-related lockdown.

As of this month, the Scottish government does not permit travel between Scotland and other parts of the United Kingdom, and strongly discourages non-essential foreign travel.

Vanessa was last seen in the UK in January 2020, when she filmed The Princess Switch: Switched Again – the sequel to 2018 rom-com The Princess Switch.

The TV and film star, who shot to fame after appearing in the High School Musical films, initially played two characters in the Parent Trap-inspired plot.

The 2018 film sees the Margaret and Stacey switch lives for two days, while the sequel finds the royal inheriting the throne to Montenaro and struggling to deal with the responsibilities and the rough patch she’s hit with her beau Kevin (Nick Sagar).

By the end of The Princess Switch: Switched Again, Margaret – who later becomes a queen – is engaged to her partner, and her evil cousin Fiona is arrested for fraud.

Late last year, the media personality insisted there’s no way she’d play four different characters in the upcoming film, after playing Fiona in the second instalment.

‘No, no, that’s just too outrageous,’ the former child star told The Wrap. ‘We’re already at max outrageous here with three characters, we’re just going to keep it at that.’
