Victoria Beckham admits she was HUNGOVER during a Spice Girls press conference as her deadpan expression in 1997 clip leaves fans in hysterics

Victoria Beckham has admitted she was hungover during a Spice Girls press conference after a 1997 clip of her deadpan expression resurfaced.

The designer’s deadpan reaction was turned into a meme that joked she was ‘me on every Zoom call,’ before dramatically fleeing the panel while her bandmates were still being interviewed.

Luckily Victoria took the post in good humour, sharing it on Instagram Stories and insisting her fragile state was the reason for her less-than enthusiastic reaction.

Cheeky: Victoria Beckham has admitted she was hungover during a Spice Girls press conference after a 1997 clip of her deadpan expression resurfaced

During the press conference, which took place during the band’s trip to Brazil Victoria’s bandmates Mel B, Geri Horner, Emma Bunton and Mel C chatted about travelling to South America.

As the camera cut to Victoria, it quickly zoomed in on her stony expression, a far cry for her cheerful bandmates as they gushed about their own music idols.

The clip then cut to Victoria putting her head in her hands before getting up and walking backstage, clearly battling with the after-effects of her night out.

A bit worse for wear? The designer's deadpan reaction was turned into a meme that joked she was 'me on every Zoom call' as the clip showed her looking forlorn

It was originally shared by artist SaintHoax on his Instagram account with the caption: ‘Victoria is me on every Zoom call’, adding ‘Posh has left the chat’ after the moment she left the panel.

Luckily Victoria was happy to poke fun at the moment as she re-posted it on Instagram Stories, writing: ‘In my defence I was really hungover!’

Saint Hoax’s posting of the clip sparked a slew of comments, and while many demanded the reason behind her unenthusiastic reaction, others simply poked fun at her.

This isn’t the first time Victoria shared a Spice Girls throwback with fans, as last week she celebrated 24 years since the band released their first Christmas number one.

She took to Instagram Stories to share a video of the band’s iconic performance of 2 Become 1 on Top Of The Pops after the song topped the festive charts in 1996.

Victoria penned the caption: ‘It’s 24 years since this was released! Our first Christmas number one! Kisses @emmaleebunton @melaniemusic @officialmelb @therealgerihalliwell.’

The Spice Girls nearly closed out the decade with their slew of festive chart success, but in 1999 the top spot was stolen by Westlife with I Have A Dream/Seasons In The Sun.
