Following last night’s MTV Movie & TV Awards ceremony, the network is returning for part two to honor the world of reality television.
It’s the first time MTV has devoted a show exclusively to honoring unscripted content.
The show opened with a montage of classic reality shows in recent years, before some of the evening’s guests danced together.
Glaser opened her monologue with a joke about how the show’s name was a ‘mouthful,’ ‘which I guess makes sense since a mouthful is how many of us got where we are tonight.’

The second award of the night for Best Dating Show was scooped up by The Bachelorette, with fill-in Bachelorette Tayshia Adams.
Next up was Best Fight, with Brie and Nikki Bella presenting.
After they got into a headlock, they announced Kourtney and Kim Kardashian as the winners for the knock-down fight on KUWTK.
The nominees run the gamut from traditional documentary-like shows including Below Deck Mediterranean and Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta to iconic competitions including RuPaul’s Drag Race.
In addition to televised content, the award show will also honor a Breakthrough Social Star, with TikTok stars Charli D’Amelio and Addison Rae competing, among others.
Addison caused a stir on Sunday when she presented the award for Best Kiss at the Movie & TV ceremony while showing off her own passionate kiss with her He’s All That costar Tanner Buchanan.
The Unscripted ceremony even repeats the Best Fight award from the previous evening, though tonight’s nominees focus on reality show kerfuffles, including Kourtney and Kim Kardashian’s shocking pile on during Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
Glaser defended unscripted television against claims that it’s fake, joking that scripted shows are the real fake content.
She looked classy in a white blazer decorated with silver sequined stripes.
The host poked fun at the reality stars on hand and how fascinated their ‘bad boundaries’ were, while joking that they were an escape from the audience’s ‘own pathetic lives.’
