‘I believe her with my whole soul’: Fans support Shayna Jack after she denies wrong-doing while talking about her four-year drug ban from swimming on SAS Australia

Fans have supported Shayna Jack after she quit SAS Australia during Monday’s episode.  

The 21-year-old swimmer broke down in tears during an emotional interrogation, maintaining her innocence as she was asked about her four-year ban from the sport, after testing positive for the drug Ligandrol in June last year.

‘I’ve swum my whole life and never done anything different, and a-year-and-a-half ago, I got accused of taking drugs, which I never do. Ever,’ she said, her voice shaking.

And viewers at home were quite supportive, with many attesting that they believed her denial. 

One person Tweeted: ‘I hope Shayna Jack is telling the truth bc I believe her with my whole fkn soul’. 

Another wrote: ‘I’m glad Shayna is on the show, because we now all realise how innocent she truly is.’

Yet one more Tweeted in support: ‘I still believe Shayna. Poor girl’ while someone else added: ‘I believe you Shayna’.

During the interrogation, Shayna explained that she was heading into a training camp ahead of the world championships in South Korea, when she undertook ‘a regular drug test’.

‘It was normal for me to get drug tested, so I didn’t think anything of it, and they called up the head coach and that was it,’ she recounted.

‘I got sent home and they gave me four years, ban from swimming, which will be the end of my career, and so I decided to fight that…’

Later in the episode, Shayna was pushed to her limits during a crawling challenge on the beach, which caused her to quit the show.

As she walked towards Ant, a frustrated Shayna ripped off her armband and declared: ‘I’m done. I can’t do this s**t! I’m done, I’m sorry.’
