They’ve triumphed in the Bushtucker Trials so far.
But Tuesday night’s challenge could prove to be one step too far for the I’m A Celebrity campmates.
In a sneak peek at the Frights At The Round Table trial, TV star Vernon Kay gags as he chomps down on a deer’s testicle, with his campmates Jordan North and Beverley Callard looking on in horror.
Tuck in! In a sneak peek at Tuesday’s I’m A Celeb tril, Frights At The Round Table ,TV star Vernon Kay gags as he chomps down on a deer’s testicle
The trio were chosen by public vote to take part in the 2020 series’ first eating trial.
While the camp has moved from the Australian bush to a castle in Wales, the crew haven’t scrimped on disgusting delicacies for the show’s notorious eating trials.
Tuesday night sees Vernon presented with what hosts Ant and Dec call Nuts Roast.
‘It looks like some form of testicle,’ Vernon tells them as the castle warden lays the dish out in front of him.
Oh dear! Vernon’s campmates Jordan North and Beverley Callard look on in horror as Vernon struggles to eat the grub in the 2020 series’ first eating trial
When he’s told it is a deer’s testicle, Radio 1 DJ Jordan can’t help but quip: ‘Oh dear.’
Meanwhile Beverley bursts out laughing as Ant declares: ‘Choose your testicle.’
‘It’s the line I was born to say Beverley,’ the presented quips in reply.
Dinner is served: While the camp has moved from the Australian bush to a castle in Wales, the crew haven’t scrimped on disgusting delicacies for the show’s notorious eating trials
Bev and Jordan aren’t laughing for long though as they look on in horror as Vernon exclaims of the testicle ‘it’s not even warm,’ before gamely putting it in his mouth.
The T4 hunk starts to gag and wretch, with the outcome of the trial remaining uncertain.
Monday night’s show saw Jordan team up with Shane Richie for the first Bushtucker Trial of the series.
Delicious! Tuesday night sees Vernon presented with what hosts Ant and Dec call Nuts Roast
The BBC Radio DJ triumphed over his fear of snakes when he took part in the first voted challenge, Viper Vault, alongside Shane.
He admitted he was the most terrified he’d ever been in his life for first trial, where he and the Eastenders actor, 56, were locked inside one of two vaults and greeted with dozens of snakes.
Jordan had a near meltdown before the trial as he teared up telling Shane he didn’t think he could do it, citing his fear of snakes and the narrow confines of the vault.
Your turn next: When he’s told it is a deer’s testicle, Radio 1 DJ Jordan can’t help but quip: ‘Oh dear’
Gagging: ‘It looks like some form of testicle,’ Vernon tells them as the castle warden lays the dish out in front of him
He said: ‘I can’t, I just can’t. There’s f***ing snakes coming out of there and I’m claustrophobic, I can’t do it, I can’t do it. I can’t do it.’
But despite his obvious terror, Jordan agreed to take part in the challenge and help his co-star to unlock a series of safes to win 10 stars, which were each worth a meal for the camp.
Things went from bad to worse for Jordan as the trial began and he started to scream in terror as the snakes slithered into the vault.
Ant and Dec both tried to stifle their laughter as Jordan shrieked throughout the task and kept trying to go to his ‘happy place’ as the snakes crawled near him.
Unlucky: The BBC Radio DJ, 30, has already triumphed over his fear of snakes during Monday’s episode, when he took part in the first voted challenge, Viper Vault, with Shane Richie
Afraid: Jordan admitted he was the most terrified he’d ever been for the trial where he and Shane, 56, were locked inside one of two vaults and were greeted with dozens of snakes
But the two contestants still managed to secure nine meals for the camp in the horrifying challenge despite Jordan’s paralysing fear.
Jordan had previously told MailOnline: ‘I’m so scared of snakes. I’m hoping with it not being in Australia there won’t be any snakes or any big poisonous ones anywhere.’
He also faced his fear of heights in the launch show after he had to abseil off a cliff to retrieve vital supplies for his first night in camp.
I’m A Celebrity continues on ITV at 9pm.
