Chris Evans charms his Instagram followers by sharing videos of himself playing the piano: ‘Learning one of my favorites’

Chris Evans might have a shot at a career as a pianist.

The 39-year-old actor posted multiple videos to his Instagram Story on Tuesday showing himself demonstrating his prowess with a piano.

The Avengers star was seen wearing a knitted fisherman’s sweater, not unlike the one that he was seen wearing in the 2019 mystery film Knives Out, and a black baseball cap with the NASA logo emblazoned across the front.

A man of many talents: Chris Evans posted multiple videos to his Instagram story on Tuesday showing himself playing a piano piece

The actor wrote in a caption for the video ‘Learning one of my favorites by Fabrizio Paterlini.’

Evans looked at the camera every now and then to give a sly smile to the viewers.

In an acknowledgement of the story, Paterlini tweeted on Wednesday, ‘Something in the air tells me that today is the day in which @ChrisEvans played one of my songs.’

The composer later added that ‘Now I clearly understand when someone says “this made my day.”‘

The Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World actor is no stranger to music, as Men’s Journal reported in 2019 that he is also proficient on guitar and can ‘fake it’ on drums.

While musical inclination may be represent a part of the actor’s resume, he is best known for his role as Captain America across the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Evans first portrayed the character in 2011’s Captain America: The First Avenger, which premiered to positive reviews and grossed just over $370 million at the box offices worldwide.

He later went on to portray the character a total of eleven separate times, and presumably retired the role in 2019’s Avengers: Endgame.

Evans received much positive critical attention for his role across various MCU films and was nominated for several over his tenure with the character, eventually winning a People’s Choice Award for Favorite Action Movie Actor in 2015.

The role of Captain America was not Evans’ first role in a Marvel film, as he previously portrayed Johnny Storm in the 2005 Fantastic Four movie and its 2007 sequel.

Broadening his horizons, the actor made his directorial debut in 2014 with the romantic drama Before We Go, which he also starred in alongside Alice Eve.

Evans’ most recent role came in Defending Jacob, a miniseries made for Apple TV+ that premiered in April; he also served as an executive producer on the series.
