The actress, 48, swapped her blonde hair for brunette locks as she tapped into the role of her character Margot Cleary-Lopez – a budding politician.
The 10-part adaptation of Naomi Alderman’s award-winning novel is based on a group of teenage girls who mysteriously develop the ability to electrocute people using their hands.

Leslie wore her newly-dyed locks tresses loose while opting for minimal make-up on set.

Production for the show was initially scheduled to begin last February, but was later postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Set in an dystopian future, The Power will see young girls pass on their powers to older women, who eventually become dominant gender and end up killing some men in their path.
The streaming service previously teased that the series will follow the cast in countries such as England, Moldova, Nigeria and the US.

Author Naomi previously shared her delight over the big move as she told Deadline: ‘I’m thrilled beyond words that The Power will be broadcast around the world by Amazon.
‘The story is a global one, about the lives of women and men everywhere in the world.
‘I’m hugely excited that The Power will be sparking conversation and debate essentially… everywhere. We’re going to make something revolutionary and, dare I say it, electrifying.’
The writer – who is yet to reveal when The Power will air – is executively producing the programme alongside Sister Pictures’ Jane Featherstone and Naomi de Pear, as well as The Handmaid’s Tale director Reed Morano.
