The pad is also said to contain Rudd’s own pool table from the old AC/DC days.

‘If the walls could talk I’m sure there would be some stories to tell,’ said Ryan Castles from Belle Property Sandringham.

Rudd owned the property from 1981 to 1984. It was around this time he famously parted ways with the rock band before rejoining 10 years later.

Castles said the pad’s music roots and features has attracted a ‘cross section of buyers’, from fans to property developers.

He explained that at one point the home even garnered interest from a father whose son played with famous Aussie band INXS.

‘It has lots of charm and it’s one of those mid-century homes in the area that draws a lot of interest,’ Castles explained.

Aside from its musical ties, the property’s 1226 square metre size and two lots makes it an ‘ideal multi-unit development site.’

Further drawcards include a study, library, Baltic pine and sandstone kitchen and an expansive backyard.

The home is located in the Beaumaris Secondary College zone, and is close to an array of cafes, restaurants, public transport and the beach.
